Senate scraps Cannon plan to split the Supreme Court

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Senate opted Monday night to give House Speaker Dean Cannon half a loaf instead of the entire reform of the judiciary system he coveted.
Sen. Ellen Bogdanoff, R-Fort Lauderdale, filed an amendment along with a handful of other senators to remove the split Supreme Court from the constitutional reform that the House passed last month.
